Although Covid prevented us from running our traditional programs in Haiti this year, we still found a way to help the local community with your generous donations.
We supported the efforts to feed the homeless in Riverside on Christmas Day. Spear headed by 2 local food businesses whom themselves were severely impacted by Covid. R&R Breakfast Spot (5460 Philadelphia St, Unit A, Chino, CA 91710) and Chef2thebone Catering donated and prepared food for 150 people. We fed close to 150 people throughout the community of Riverside on Christmas Day. In addition we distributed over 80 hygiene kits. The hygiene kits included toiletries, masks, gloves and hats.
The main based for food and supplies was Lincoln Park, 4261 Park ave, Riverside, CA 92407 we handed out blankets and clothing were available for those that came out. The main distribution of food was due to driving the catering van to the local homeless camps and doing the distribution there.
For a shorter planning period of a few weeks we were able to reach a surprising amount of people. We hope to continue to have a bigger event next year.
