The Haiti Tchaka Dance association “HTD” was founded with the objective of stimulating Haitian youth to value and promote Haitian folk dance in their environment. Its mission is to promote young talents at the country level, especially in the basic communities and the provinces, while insisting on changing negative mentalities and the search for cultural identity.
HTD has provided young people with professional capacity in the field of Haitian folk dance so that they can develop useful community cultural structures and expose themselves to the job market.
Together with partners, the HTD has already worked in around forty municipalities in the country. Over 25 years of service to precarious Haitian populations, particularly young people. They uses culture to do re-socialization work!
